Kicked off in January 2010, the "Jungle Book KIDS" project would be something new for many of us at MainStage Entertainment. This project would be the first where only the teenagers of our community would produce, direct, vocal coach and teach choreography to younger performers from K-6th grades. The show was a hit. Performed twice at the Naval Support Site at Gricignano, "Jungle Book KIDS" played for sold out theaters.
With production starting in January of 2010, the cast of "Proof" worked through some incredible obsticles to include the show's director going out to see for most of the production prep. However, this small team put on one of the most memorable performances that this organization has seen. We congratulate the cast and crew of this production for putting on one of a great show!
For the first time ever, MainStage Entertainment decided to do something a little different in casting. Knowing that male roles are very difficult to cast, MainStage decided to leverage on the majority of our membership and create a show specific to the talented entertainers that we have plenty of: the Ladies. Thus, an all-star cast of female vocalist/dancers were selected in February 2010 to take the 4 month journey to production. With countless hours of dance/choreography rehearsals, vocal coaching and a special performance preview for the Naples 82 Semi-Professional American Football team (live dress rehearsal at Carney Park), the show was a hit! Using a new venue with new technical gear helped to create a wonderful weekend of music and dance!
